Time’s flying…I’m flying too!

I think there was something about leaving Pune, that’s why even my last post spoke about it. And now it’s been 2 months since I have left that place, which had been an abode for about 6 long and crucial years of my life!

And in these two months I’ve moved from Pune to Gurgaon…and now to the United States of America. Life has changed drastically, in every sense! In these two months, I’ve come across many people and have also faced the complexities of life, on both, professional and personal fronts.

I am just about 10 days old here and I’ve formed notions about this entire set up. Few things here are just the way I’d imagined them to be (rather they turned out to be better). But the other stuffs are not as impressive as they seemed.

Grossly, it’s a hermit’s life here. You are dependent on some of the things for living, like…the Internet and the Indians who are here. Well, it all depends the way you want to live. I’ve seen cases where people don’t believe in socializing much, fearing that their intentions would be misunderstood (which is a valid fear). Or some have this inclination of saving a few dollars just by confining them to themselves. Their idea being “You step out, you shell out”!

But on this land, so far away from your own people, one has to be happy in order to sustain the other forms of pressure. I think money shouldn’t just be the reason for one to keep on ticking. A life which is socially cut off isn’t just worth living. I know my opinion is sounding quite staunch, but I actually feel it this way! And life here tests you always; it’s no bed of roses where political correctness is followed religiously. I find myself lacking on this one.

I had thought of making it a little lighter than what it has turned out to be. Something more about my life here would be my next entry, let’s see…
