A trip to India may change your Status…well, Almost!

This title here is not just a statement or the theme of this post. But there is a much deeper meaning to it.

The story is about a guy called “Jaggi”, who was in the US for the past 13 months until one day this bloke of ours, planned a visit to his Motherland! Only yesterday, after a month long trip, he's back to get the “Ashirwad” of Uncle Sam. It was pretty anticipated but on his return he finally lifted the veil and…“GOT ENGAGED” was his first official mail sent out, right on the first day he'd resumed office!

Being engaged is one thing and not to speak about it, is something else. And this folk would simply just not budge!!! He was quite elusive about it right from the very beginning and was about to take me for another ride even now…but then you know by the look of that happy, blessed-looking face! :) (Though I’ve been taken for long ones, never mind that…)

That was no longer a mystery anymore…after a round of speculations and ruminations, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate both Jaggi and his life partner! I hope they get married soon. My best wishes to both of you…And Jaggi, now start wearing that ring man! :)

Try Reading while watching a movie!

All right folks! It’s been quite a while now since I’ve hit this screen. I’d been trying to finish a book for long…and after almost 6 months, I’ve finally got that closed.

The book I’m talking about it is “The Kite Runner”. The first time when I tried to read it, I'd gone almost half way through but discontinued. Later after bucking myself up, I picked this up again. I had to start afresh, as I don’t have the memory of an elephant! But jokes apart, I wanted to enjoy reading that, as the part till where I’d read was quite interesting. And I discontinued it yet again!!! My bad…

Finally, while surfing for some online latest releases, I bumped into this movie “The Kite Runner”. I'd never heard of this movie before and it was a pleasant surprise to find it up there. Little did it take to make up my mind that I had to watch it. It was a good 2 hours 20 mins flick. I was very well able to co-relate till the part I’d read of the book. But the movie after that was coming as a complete surprise. It was tragic though. The characters have depicted their parts pretty convincingly. Most parts of the movie are supported with English subtitles, as the dialogues are in Arabic. It was great to see some direct quotes from the book.

The moment I could see the casting come, I felt nice about completing a pending task due over 6 months!

This sedentary lifestyle, I’ve been living over 6 months, has got the better of me and that’s the reason why I’ve become so aloof from books or even writing. I can’t even find my diary in this apartment any more! This blog that I’m writing is kind of a tribute to this movie, which reminded me of myself and my-used-to-be-pastimes. But thanks to this new found hobby of “movie-watching” that made me meet myself around this corner!
